��ֳ� is marking the start of bone health congress season with a brand new and exciting podcast series, “Fragility Fractures in Focus”.

Launching in time to coincide with the start of the European Calcified Tissue Society (ECTS) congress in Liverpool, UK (April 15-18) the first episode features special guests, Prof Bente Langdahl, Aarhus University in Denmark and Prof Richard Eastell, Sheffield University, UK.

The series will be hosted by ��ֳ�’s Head of Medical External Affairs, Cesar Libanati and provides guests and listeners alike, to dive deeper into the most pressing issues impacting clinical practice today. Each episode focuses one of the ‘Ps’ from the P4 Health Spectrum (predictive, preventive, personalized, and participatory) – an increasingly recognized cornerstone of proactive modern medicine – which looks to shift focus away from disease to the promotion of a state of wellness, defined as a state of optimal health.

The theme for the first episode will be “predictive”, focusing on:

Different biomarkers as predictors of optimal protection and fracture prevention
Assessing the role of 'optimized treatment strategies' and their practical application in clinical practice

“The Fragility Fractures in Focus podcast series underscores ��ֳ�’s continued commitment to creating value for patients and the scientific community”, explaines Nico Reynders, Head of Bone Mission. “��ֳ� is proud to showcase its continuous work at ECTS, which aims to improve treatment outcomes for people living with osteoporosis, close the treatment gap and, ultimately, reduce the risk of fragility fractures.”

The upcoming digital and in-person European Calcified Tissue Society (ECTS) congress in Helsinki, taking place from the 7th – 10th May 2022, will be bringing together leading members of the musculoskeletal field to highlight and discuss the latest opportunities and challenges in this space. We look forward to take part in this congress, as we will be highlighting data published earlier this year, that paves the way to reducing fracture risk and improving the outcomes for people living with osteoporosis.

For this year’s ECTS, 5 abstracts that are supported by ��ֳ� were accepted, these include 2 plenary oral presentations, 2 oral presentations and 1 poster, focusing on a range of topics such as osteoporosis treatment, fracture risk and identified vertebral fractures. ��ֳ� will also be hosting an industrial symposium on the 8th May with leading experts Dr Ralph Müller, Dr Richard Abel and Dr Roland Chapurlat, who will be discussing the mechanisms by which bone-forming therapies impact bone strength.

Osteoporosis, which affects approximately 200 million people globally, is a condition characterized by fragility fractures due to compromised bone strength.1 ��ֳ� is proud to showcase its continuous work at ECTS and continuously works towards improving treatment outcomes for people living with osteoporosis, close the treatment gap and reduce the risk of fragility fractures.
